SMART Photonics raises 35 million euros in funding

The Eindhoven based high-tech company SMART Photonics has secured an investment of 35 million euros. The company, that is active in the production of high-tech photonic chips, will use the investment to further scale up the production of these chips.

The capital was raised by a Dutch consortium led by Innovation Industries. The Ministry of Economic Affairs was the largest financier with an amount of 20 million euros. In addition, BOM, KPN Ventures, PhotonDelta and existing shareholders were part of the consortium. Rooth-Invest, being an existing shareholder, has also further expanded its investment under this consortium.
