Rooth-Invest invests in Dutch Security TechFund

November 8, 2019

Rooth-Invest has invested in TIIN Capital's Dutch Security TechFund. This venture capital fund is TIIN Capital's 6th fund and has a focus on cybersecurity. Other investors include the Municipality of The Hague, InnovationQuarter, KPN Ventures, RVO and a group of informal investors and family offices.

The Dutch Security TechFund of TIIN Capital has a branch at The Hague Security Delta in The Hague and the fund will invest in promising and innovative start-ups and scale-ups in cybersecurity. In addition to the contribution of capital, TIIN Capital proactively supports the portfolio companies in setting up their go-to-market strategy and internationalisation of the company. In the coming years, the fund will invest 30 million euros in cybersecurity start-ups and scale-ups. The focus on the cyber security sector has been chosen because the demand for solutions in the field of cyber security has grown enormously and will continue to grow. This is due to rapid technological changes, but also due to increased legislation in this area. In addition, cyber criminals are becoming smarter and cyber security must therefore continuously improve. For more information, see the fund's website.
