Acquisition of IDEAAL Machinebouw en Constructie Horst

October 23, 2019

After 87 years, the family-owned company IDEAAL Machinebouw en Constructie in Horst is taken over by new owners, including Rooth-Invest. IDEAAL is mainly engaged in the manufacturing of machines for the agricultural and horticultural sector.

After this takeover, the daily management will be in the hands of Pascal Maes and Koen Lemmen. Pascal has been with the company as a manager for several years. Koen worked at a metalworking company in Horst as project manager for automation. They have the ambition to use IDEAAL to focus on further development and growth in the production and sales of machines. This development is aimed at both new geographic markets and areas of application.

IDEAAL Machinebouw was founded in 1932 by Christiaan Coenders, grandfather of outgoing board member Trudy Swinkels. Over the years, the smithy developed into a fully-fledged machine building and construction company that designs and manufactures unique machines for the agricultural and horticultural sector.

The outgoing management, consisting of Hans and Trudy Swinkels, took over the company in 1997 from Trudy's father. The company changed from a construction and machine building company into a company that develops various (patented) ergonomic systems. These unique machines are sold worldwide.
